Positions on the MDCGC Board of Directors


President

The President presides over meetings of the Board of Directors as well as meetings of the general membership, and acts as the primary spokesperson for MDCGC. The President also acts as the primary liaison to the Public Policy Committee.

 President-Elect

The President-Elect acts in the place of the President when delegated to do so and will immediately assume the position of President when the term expires. The President-Elect is also the primary liaison to the Social Media and Communications Committee.

 SecretARY

The Secretary is in charge of meeting scheduling, informing attendees of upcoming meetings and keeping minutes from all meetings of the Board.  The Secretary also keeps an updated list of all members and acts as the primary liaison to the Membership committee.

 TREASURER

The Treasurer maintains corporate records, tracks financial transactions, pays bills, and files the appropriate taxes. Additionally, the Treasurer drafts an annual budget to be approved the Board of Directors, issues an annual financial report at the end of the fiscal year, and may develop fundraising plans to present to the Board. The Treasurer is the primary liaison to the State Meeting and Education Committee.
